Weather

Week 49 (1.13-7.13) - The snowstorm that was around at the end of last week will finally stall out by midweek, leaving even colder temperatures in its wake. The bitter cold stays below freezing and ice begins to layer everything unsheltered from the bitter winds. The river will continue to freeze over with only a small access to its waters near its middle. Any waterways between Weyr and Welcoming Island are frozen over completely and the waters around the Welcoming Island are beginning to freeze in around the docks.

Week 50 (8.13-14.13) - Another storm moves in but only blows snow about into heavy drifts with its bitter winds. The winds linger throughout the week, but there is a noticeable change in the temperature, be it only a few degrees higher. Everything remains icebound.

Week 51 (15.13-21.13) - The Weyr's skies open up to sun finally, but the temperatures remain bitterly cold. Winds are strong and from the North, keeping everything frozen and many of the Weyr's residents indoors. Towards the end of the sevenday, clouds start to occasionally move over the island.

Week 52 (22.13-28.13) - As Turn's End approaches the new Weyr, the clouds begin to grow more steady, though the snow from the last month doesn't seem to return quite yet. The winds remain though, and all waterways continue to remain frozen over. The winds are possibly strong enough to blow loose snow around and form deeper snow banks.

Turn 1165, Week 1 (1.1-7.1) - Snow returns to the Weyr, though it's much lighter than the storms from the month before. It's occasional snow fall with clear skies on and off throughout the sevenday. The temperatures and wind still keep the Weyr bitterly cold, however. The sevenday ends with a heavier snow fall, but with the winds dying down.
