Izuko's Rules

Every game has to have rules so that the players are fair to one another and that role-play goes smoothly. Here are ours:

**Anne McCaffrey's Rules (Since we are based off of her creations)**
-None of Anne McCaffrey's characters can be used, so no Lessa, Moreta or anyone, nor can your character's be related to any of them!
-Pern does not have religion, magic or war, please.
-There are only five different dragon colours, Gold, Bronze, Brown, Blue and Green. Golds only impress women. Bronzes only impress men.
-No Role-play to occur at Benden Weyr or Ruatha Hold

**Our Rules (Since we are different than others and unique in our own ways)**
-Golds and Bronzes only impress Heterosexual Riders, the other three colours can impress either!
-Girls can ride gold, blue and green. Occasionally a girl might get a brown!
-Men can ride Bronze, brown, blue and green.
-Be Polite and friendly, IC actions = IC consequences don't take your fights OoC! Any problems, please inform the BoD Please inform us if you are going to be away for a period of time and unable to post, anyone who is gone for more than three months without telling us will have their character put up for adoption, or killed, this includes ranking characters!
-Do not take control of other peoples characters.. unless they have given you permission to!
-Metallics (Gold,bronze, dragons, flits) will be carefully handed out. Same goes for HAD (Hearing all dragons people)
-Proboards is rated PG-13. Anything adult material (ie, sex, rape, abuse, etc.) cannot be written on Proboards. You must go to our Yahoo Group site in order to post such (Tristar Weyr) and must have X-Rated or XXX in the subject. If you aren't sure, ask and we'll let you know.
-Feel free to use the NPC's but please check no one is currently using them and please give us a quick sheet update afterwards.

Any posts that involve a form of combat (ie, duels, random malicious fights, etc) that are not part of a pre-arranged plot need to use the dice system.

In order to use the dice script, posts need to be done from the reply page (it's not usable via the "quick reply" option at the bottom of threads). There, you'll see a little dice-like button near the color options drop down. Put the script that pops up in the message box when you click it at the bottom of the post. Roll once (1 script) per strike attempted. (Ie, 3 attempt strikes = 3 scripts at the bottom of the post)

1-3 = The attempted strike hits.
4-6 = The strike misses.

The results of these rolls are not editable after posted, so this provides a completely random, unbiased form of determining which strikes hit and which strikes don't hit during physical fights.

It is currently left up to writer's discretion to determine when their characters are no longer able to keep going. If necessary, this may change.
