Personality: Ginillina isn’t quite as loud as her sister. There really isn’t any reason to be since Gindalina does it enough for both of them. Although don’t be fooled. She can be loud and outgoing too. She loves being around people and talking to them about just about anything. She can make you feel like part of the family in no time.
Although Ginillina’s true passion lies in animals. She can get along with anyone and even gets herself in trouble sometimes for talking too much, but she would never put an animal in danger. When it comes to her craft nothing gets in the way. She is very quiet and compassionate with the animals and does her best to keep them calm until they are healed. This started from a young age and carries over into her dealings with people as well.
You better not dare hurt an animal in Ginillina’s presence. Otherwise you’ll find yourself on the ground fast and if there’s no one else around you just may find yourself getting beat with whatever you had used to harm the animal. Thankfully though, this side doesn’t usually rear its head too often. She’s normally sensible and easy to get along with.
Physical description: Ginillina has the same blonde hair as her sister although she doesn’t wear her hair in nearly as many different ways as Gindalina. Ginillina keeps her hair pulled back in a runnertail most of the time, but has her bangs parted to the side and long enough that they cover her eyes if she’s not careful. Her eyes are a the same blue as Gindalina’s and they’re always dancing. She stands at 5’7”, just like her sister. She wears simple clothing since she is constantly dealing with animals and doesn’t wear anything loose fitting since it could get caught on any number of things.
History: Ginillina was born just before her twin sister Gindalina.. The two are the only children of the Holder at the very small Plains Hold and a Senior Journeyman Farmer. The two were inseparable as children, as many twins are. Though they never had any siblings, there were other children at the Hold to play with, as well as their cousins from the nearby Keroon Hold.
When they were finally old enough to choose a craft Ginillina chose the beast craft while her sister chose to become a Healer. Ginillina had always loved being around animals and had constantly been dragging them home and nursing them back to health despite her parents’ protests. Ginillina took to the beast craft like a fish takes to water and she couldn’t be happier.
Like her sister though she had always thought of being a dragonrider. Just to be able to work with one of the mighty dragons of Pern was enough to make her envious of any rider that she saw. Although sometimes she wasn’t sure if she would really want to leave her animals and craft if she would be Searched. She finally pushed that dream to the back of her mind and concentrated on her craft.
When her sister suggested that they move to Tristar Weyr to get away from Keroon Ginillina wasn’t sure. She had managed to set up a nice little practice in Keroon Hold and wasn’t real thrilled about the idea of leaving her charges behind to the new apprentices even though they had a master and other journeymen there to keep an eye on them. Gindalina finally managed to persuade her to go and Ginillina packed her things and traveled to Tristar with her sister.
Ginillina enjoyed being at the Weyr. Just when she was starting to settle in though, the earthquake and volcano hit. She lost a lot friends that day, but was helped by Mikan. Over the next three Turns Ginillina grew closer to Mikan. She’s not sure how she would have continued without his help. Her sister had been killed in the quake and that had nearly devastated her.
