Name: L’ar (Luiar)
Age: 19
Birthdate: 12.13.1145
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Rank: Wing Rider
Birthplace: Ista Weyr
Family: - Father: S'ar (Siar) of Bronze Momenth (deceased)
- Mother: Lurrie, Dragonhealer (deceased)
- Sister: Siarie (10 turns)
Signifigant others: N/A
Personality: L’ar has grown up a lot in the past 4 turns, with Allodath beside him the teen has grown into a mature young adult, a good rider and someone that may one day make a good leader. He is still the same type of boy he used to be, and still has that determination to succeed.
L’ar is a protective person of those he cares about, but does not like to see wrongs done to people out of justice. He’ll stand up for what he believes in, even if it goes against the general rule of play..
It’s a loyal and intelligent man, and is one that would listed to anyone, regardless of rank, or topic. He’s loyal to the weyr and the dragonrider ways, but is also adaptable and accepting of new ideas.
Physical description: Being a dragonrider worked well for the L’ar’s apparence, the small gangly child that appeared in turn 1159 has become a strong, powerful young man. His muscles are well built up due to dragonriding, although he’ll never appear the same as a ‘body builder’ L’ar’s body is attractive, as are his features, such as his sandy brown hair, and his brilliant blue eyes.
History: Born the first child to a love affair between a dragonrider and dragonhealer, 15 turns ago, Luiar vividly remembers what life was like when there were thousands of dragons and no threats of illness. He also remembers the attack of the plague and the death of his own father, and many friends.
His mother, DragonHealer Lurrie hung around the weyr for a few sevendays after S'ar and Momenth's deaths, but with the passage of time eventually the woman, like so many others, took her children and left the Weyr. She'd said she didn't want the children going up in the Weyr at such a sad time, and thus left, but in truth, she was ashamed at being unable to save those dragons.. So many had died under her care, that she had just up and left. It was this reason that had found the young family living holdless away from the weyr for the next four turns. A life that was difficult and totally isolated from his original old life. Luiar found it hard to get along with at first.. but soon settled when he realized he had no other choice.
They grew up in a cave on Ista island, never mingling with the people of the Weyr.. living harshly off of the greens that the land provided, the fish the sea gave and the fresh water from rivers. They struggled by, often becoming sick or going without food.. it was their mother's selfishness that prevented her returning to the Weyr, and her lack of being unable to part with her children. Until, disaster struck.
After living for almost four full turns both children awoke to find their mother missing.. They waited.. And waited, they stomach growing hungry, their mouths running dry.. Until eventually, under Luiar's decision the pair left the cave in search off food, shaken by mother's disappearance and hopeful they would find her again. They never did.
Luiar worked hard to try and support them both, often going without to ensure that his sister at least got a small mouthful of water. But he had never been good at catching his own food, even after four turns, and as they travelled away from their cave, the supply of water became scarce, and food harder to catch.. Until eventually, both started to weaken, Siarie was the first to collapse. Leaving Luiar using up the rest of his energy to carry the girl to the weyr.. hoping, just hoping that they'd find someone there still.. He wasn't aware how well the weyr had bounced back after the illness had struck.. But his attempts were short lived after he too, collapsed.
He woke up a few days later in the care of the healers at a different Ista than he remembered.. for a start, it went by the name of Tristar now, and there were dragons again! No dragons that he remembered or riders he recognised, but dragons and riders none the less, and even a clutch on the sands!! As weyrbred it was his right to stand, and stand he did.. The fear of loosing a dragon nothing compared to what he remembered seeing, even at his young age, Luiar knew how important it was that he played a part in rebuilding Pern.. Even if that meant impressing.. But he didn’t impress, not for two clutches, and everything started to go wrong.. Dragons started dieing again, their riders killed by ‘rebels’ Weyrwoman second Bennu’s disappearance and Idoreths death worried him the most, a worry that was heightened when the last queen rider too was taken.. How were dragons to live now, for he believed it was a matter of time before Taenia too died..
Only, a new queen turned up out of the blue (or so Luiar thought) and things seemed better, Taenia returned and Josiath clutched. It was this clutch that brought Allodath, a awkward looking bronze to Luiar on the hatching sands.. The pair have now been bonded for 4 turns, 4 difficult turns that saw the distruction of their tristar home, their escape to Igen weyr, and the holders attacks which made them move onto this new island weyr.. L’ar isn’t sure how life will work now, but he know’s he’ll get by, he always has done before.. with Allodath at his side, what more could he need?
Name: Allodath
Colour: Bronze
Age:4 turns
Sire/Dam: Gold Josiath/ Bronze.. ??
Birth Place: Tristar Weyr
Wing: Sunny Springs (Weyrlings)
Weyrling Group: Irish Dietis
Description: Allodath is a mighty looking bronze, his appearance is well muscled even form birth, showing that as he grows Allodath will become a strong powerful Bronze. His hide colour appears as a deep burnished bronze with very dark wing sails. His wings however do not appear large enough to cope with a dragon so ‘chuncky’
Personality: Allodath is a firm dragon, a natural born leader with the prospects of getting far in life, if partnered with the right rider. He is strong willed with a weakness for water, (meaning he LOVES water more so than anything!)
