Personality: Shayna was shy as a child, but as she got
older she became more confident. She always looks out
for her siblings and will help anyone even at the cost
of her own health. Becoming a goldrider really helped
boost Shayna’s confidence. That and meeting V’ter.
Now that she is a goldrider she takes people’s concerns
even more seriously then before. She is very kind and
approachable, but her one fault is she can get so caught
up in her duties or trying to help someone that she’ll
forget to eat and sleep.
Physical Description: Shayna only stands at about
5’5”, but being short doesn’t seem to lessen people’s
respect for her. She has waist length jet-black hair
that she always seems to have pulled up in some intricate
way. There is no doubt in anyone’s mind that she is pure
female. She has a very feminine build, but she is a
little thin. Her one trait that always seems to catch
people by surprise are her silvery blue eyes. Sometimes
they’re more silver then blue.
History: Shayna was born as the oldest of 3 children
to Tanner Shintar and Weaver Anya. The little girl
lived a pretty normal childhood at Fort Hold. Although,
she was very shy. She never wandered away from her parents.
She remained this way until her Taan was born 4 Turns later.
The 2 were never seen apart from each other. After Taan was
born Shayna started to become more confident and watched
over Taan. Well, actually the protecting went both ways.
Then when Hya was born 11 Turns later both Shayna and Taan
watched over her.
When Shayna was 17 her aunt showed up from Fort Weyr on
search. To Shayna’s amazement both her and Taan were
selected as potential riders. Both were thrilled at the
chance to Stand. By the end of the Hatching Shayna had
Impressed the little gold Josiath and T’an had Impressed
a bronze. The 2 continued to help each other all through
weyrlinghood.
As Shayna got older she started to fall for a handsome
bronzerider names V’ter. V’ter helped both Shayna and
T’an through the rough parts of their training. To Shayna’s
immense joy V’ter’s bronze flew Josiath in her first flight.
After that the 2 became weyrmates.
By the time Shayna turned 24 her life couldn’t have been
better, but then a dragon suddenly went between and never
returned for some strange reason. Shayna was distraught by
the loss and her and Josiath decided to go for a short flight.
Meeting a strange brown riding female called Kiala who stated
she was from the future, Kiala disappeared shortly after that,
returning later that same turn stating that she needed Shayna's
help, being one to help where neeeded Shayna agreed and followed
Kiala between. Little did she know that her life was about to
change forever.
When they came out of between they were above a Weyr that neither
recognized. Shayna was feeling slightly disoriented and had
Josiath land. Now the pair are trying to cope with a whole new
life without either V’ter or T’an to lean on.
Shayna was thrilled when Josiath produced a healthy clutch. At
least one thing was going right. And then, to make matters even
better Taan and Hya showed up at Tristar. Shayna had never figured
she'd see her family again and almost wasn't sure how to react.
Although she still finds herself having to be extremely careful
with what she says around Taan.
During her time at Tristar she has drawn close to L'rai and relies on him quite a bit when having troubles. She was thrilled when Ista suggested a Gather, but the Gather ended up being quite a surprise for her. On the last day she returned to the Weyr feeling quite ill. To her surprise she soon learned that she was pregnant and little Venteran was born after some difficulty.
Shayna was finally getting her life back on track when disaster struck again. An earthquake and volcano hit Tristar and wiped out nearly all of Josiath's clutch not to mention L'rai had been killed. Shayna was devastated and clung even more to R'bao.
As the Turns went on and they all had to restart their lives again Shayna drew even closer to R'bao. Even though he is just a blue rider she doesn't care. She cares deeply for him and doesn't want to lose him.
After the devastating lose of Authanth during Fraith and Tsunath's maiden flight Shayna was left in position of acting Weyrwoman and a pregnant acting Weyrwoman at that. And if that isn't bad enough 13 riders from the future show up bearing a golden egg. Chaos has once again come to the Weyr. Although hopefully with these new riders they will have some helpful experience to offer.
Authanth's clutch hatches healthy and all Impress, only to follow a short couple days later with the hatching of Gold Sherath and gold wher Sani's eggs. Josiath chooses to rise early and therefore makes Shayna Weyrwoman of Izuko and M'riel of bronze Oreath Weyrleader. Although it also sends Shayna into early labor with hers and R'bao's daughter Sanyara. Thankfully both mother and daughter are alright, but now there is a strange feeling in the air that has all the dragons on edge.

color. Her whole hide glimmers in the sun and gives
her a very elegant look. She has a very sleek body.
Her head is very well defined and she walks with an
air about her. Her whole body is very well
proportioned. Josiath is very agile despite her size
and can fly all day without tiring.
