Personality: Quite even tempered despite his upbringing, Dienon is a man of many emotions, but he won't let you see him cry or hurt. That's too wimpy for him. Watchful for anything that seems out of place and acting accordingly, he'll make the best of friends or the perfect enemy knowing just where to hit you to get you down the easiest or what to say to raise your spirits. Tender and loving with the women, he will not fight one. If anything could kill this big man, it would be a woman, because he won't retaliate aggressively but firmly to stop her. To many he appears distant and watchful, but once you get to know him, he's quite the talker. Instead of returning to his homeland, he's decided to stay with the dragonriders and to help the Weyr's guard as the dragon numbers are slowly rising once again.
Physical description: Dienon's quite tall and with it comes a burliness that only his height can make work. He's well muscled and rather stockily built, but nothing about him is slow. He can move surprisingly fast for his size and is quite graceful on the dance floor. His skin is dark from turns under the sun and three scars mar his skin, two small ones in his ribs and a third that cuts across his lower ribs on his left side. His eyes are dark green and ever watchful, his dark brown hair kept long and falling to the middle of his back, usually pulled back in a runnertail or braid. His clothing is of darker colors: a sleeveless tunic and dark wherhides. His boots are simply made with soft soles and are dark, lacing up to mid-shin.
History: Dienon was born in the Wilds to a Raider Clan, the same as M'cleod's heritage and knew ruthlessness and self-preservation from the moment he could walk. He has always been there for M'cleod and his family, always able to be found when M'cleod called for help. He had a childhood love whom he had wanted to handfast, but his chance at that was taken away when Firehead swept through the Clan and her death was a result of such at only 20 turns of age. Since then, Dienon has kept up a wall against love, almost afraid to let it back in.
When M'cleod's family stepped foot within Igen Weyr's walls, he could not bring himself to follow and so remained in the Wilds, keeping in touch through his sister's firelizard. When the Plague struck, it took his sister's firelizard and communication grew patchy, but he remained ever nearby for his best of friends. When M'cleod went to the new Weyr with his brown, Dienon went with him, but still did not set foot within the Weyr walls nor was he ever seen by anyone as he lurked quietly and watchfully in the Wilds of the Weyr.
When the Weyrwoman was taken captive, M'cleod called on Dienon's aid and he reacted faithfully, aiding in the Rescue attempt, but getting gravely wounded in the process. Had it not been for M'cleod's ever-present thread of hope, he would have been left to die, but they took him with them and it was then that he eventually woke in the Infirmary of Igen Weyr. Since then, he has been faithful to the dragonriders and has remained constant within and without the Weyr walls, helping to protect his new family.
After the water supply was found poisoned, he chose to go with the rafts to help those not going by dragonback to the new, isolated Weyr to hopefully have a peaceful home once again. It is there, at Izuko Island, that he wishes to further his friendship with Lorina of green Descanth, whom he had fallen for after the Rescue attempt. It is here that he is the MasterGuard, helping to keep the weyrfolk safe...

Physical description: A tall, broad runner, one built for strength and endurance more than speed. His coat is a dark gray with numerous patches of lighter grays all over and longer feathering cover half his hooves.
