Personality: Taenia had gone through drastic personality changes as she started growing up, she went from a shy, unconfident girl and blossomed into a strong and good leader when she impressed to Authanth and embraced the role of Senior Weyrwoman. She is now but a shadow of that former lady, with the tragic death of her golden queen Taenia has changed, resulting in a woman that is utterly confused and uncertain of where she belongs now.
She's a damage young women, someone who appears to have very little control over her mind and emotions, she's forever flitting from one emotion to another, occasionally happy, occasionally sad and from time to time completely over the edge. She still struggles to forgive the riders of the gold dragons responsible for her Authanth's passing.. whether she'll come to terms with that or not in the future still remains to be seen.
She loves her little family very much.. and would struggle without them..
Physical description: Taenia is still recovering from the loss of her golden queen. Although she has filled out and become quite the pretty young women in her adult turns. She's a little bit on the smaller side due to her months of eating very little, but that will in time, sort itself out.
She is on the smaller height for adult girl, and with her skinny apperance she does look quite fragile, as if she would break under the strain. Her hair, golden blonde, is starting to grown again now.. trying to grow it. The shortness was a constant reminder of what she had lost.
Despite her sorrow, and sadness, Taenia is still a girl that likes girly clothes, skirts and dressed of pretty deep colours, or natural tones. Green is her favourate.
History: Taenia was conceived within an unknown affair, between
the senior queen rider of Ista weyr and the lord holder of Ista
hold. This however wasn’t common knowledge, and her mother’s
weyrmate of the time, the weyrleader M’ton (also was weyrleader
throughout Cellinia’s senior hood) was considered, and thought
of as her biological father. Taenia was the youngest of the children born to Cellinia.
She was brought up a typical weyrbrat, in the creche, her parents too busy to really have much to do with her, but that didn't stop Taenia from trying to save her parents when their dragons died from the plague. Cellinia's dragon had been the first to die.. the start of two long turns which would leave pern with only 12 surviving dragons.
The 12 settled at Ista weyr, re-named to Tristar and it was here at 14 turns that Taenia found herself impressed to one of the last queens in pern. Authanth. It was hard at first, trying to adjust to such a position and responsibility, a thing that only got worse when her dragon was the first to rise making her weyrwoman..and a brown rider - M'cleod, weyrleader. The resulting clutch was small and the weyr was in uproar!
But that wasn't the end of the bad luck, thread was over due and the holders were becoming difficult, golden idoreth was lost to the weyr - killed by rebel riders, along with a number of others, and taenia fould herself the last gold rider.. weyrwoman of pern.
Not matter how much people watched, taenia herself was taken captive, a scary time indeed, it was during this time she realised how much she valued her dragon, her life... and M'cleod, the man that had become her lover..
Fearing that they would lose their weyrwoman, brown Kiala had gone back in time ot bring a young gold pair forward, new blood to add to the lines, but also a backup incase taenia and authanth should be lost..
...but they weren't and 3 seven days later she returned to the weyr and took up her place as senior queen, where Authanth rose again, and was caught by bronze Hirazath making his grieving rider weyrleader - he was hard to taenia, resulted in violence and trails.. and the miscarriage of her and mac's first child. Authanth's clutch was large this time, a golden egg resulted..
Things seemed to settle down a bit and run smoothly for a while, taenia fell pregnant again for the second time and things looked set to move on well... until an accident occured and her and authanth were lost back in time.. a place she found herself stuck for a turn, and the birth of her son without his father to raise him..
...she eventually returned, more experienced, more older... and ready to lead the weyr again, although it had been a turn for Taenia, it had been but a sevenday for Tristar!
For 3 months things were quiet, and then, suddenly in the early hours of the morning she was awoken by the shaking of the ground.. and eventually the distruction of Tristar weyr as they knew it, and the death of many friends. They fled to igen weyr, hoping it would be safe and quiet.. where they could re-build, but things didn't settle down, the rebel riders attacked again, on and one for three turns they coped with this, until the final straw came through a poisoned water supply..
...wanting to save her weyr, her friends and the future of the dragons of pern Taenia took her weyr between to a island they called Izuko, things were going well until a tragic accident caused Authanth to be injured beyond repair. The result of a golden dragon mating flight - where two golds had risen at the same time. Authanth had be caught in the wrong place.. at the wrong time..

Authanth is a loving dragon, and although her large size is daunting, she couldn’t possibly hurt anything, until the driving hunger sends her on. She’s playful, and will happily play with dragons, large or small, green or bronze. She doesn’t have the personality of most young queens, she isn’t self centred or bossy, but she does know she is special. She sees that just by noticing people’s reactions to her, and the lack of other golden hides around.
Of course, nothing is more important to Authanth than her dear lifemate. Authanth knows what she wants, and how to get it, and will even go out of her way to ensure that she gets it. As long as it doesn’t hurt people.

This gold is certainly a big dragon, when held in comparison to the memories of the dragons of old, there is no doubt that Authanth was amoungst the largest to ever live on pern.
Her underbelly is a bright eye catching gold, pretty much like that of a new, old terra pound coin. Her Upper side however is somewhat pale, seeming more of a grey and gold mix. This solid colour is the same through-out the rest of the hide, mingling with the more eye catching gold as it travels down to the tail. Her wing membranes are also near to that same gray gold colouration, however, they tend to be somewhat lighter.
