Persona information
Name: Il'ran (prev Keranuil)
Pronunciation: Care-uh-new-el (Keranuil); Ill-ran (Il'ran)
Age: 24
Gender: M
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Rank: Wingrider
Birthplace: Southern Boll (Birthdate. 1344.5.19)
Family:
Mother: Kerani
Father: Nuranel
Other: Alastriona (great-great-how-ever-many grandmother, unknown though)
Personality: Il'ran is quiet and observant, paying careful attention to everything going on around him and picking up on the little details that many others miss. He's good at reading unspoken messages through body language and tones, but will frequently keep that information to himself unless prodded for it. This ability of his leads towards the potential of one day being a good leader, but as a young rider he is still just somewhat lazy, in that he is willing to let others do the work, if he absolutely doesn't have to himself. That said, when it's a job he needs to do, he cracks down and gets it done, and done well. He's very picky about appearances, whether it be his own or those around him. This pickiness isn't just in the appearance of clothes, but also of possessions. Top quality and neatness are important to him.
Physical description: Il'ran is tall, nearly six feet tall, but he's lanky as well. His face is long and somewhat pointed, though most of him seems to be rather pointy in general. His eyes are so dark that they're black, but they seem to be just slightly lighter than the pupils. His hair is the same color and worn in a neat runner-tail at the base of his neck, going just slightly below the shoulder line. He's always very neatly dressed and won't even wear something that's got a spot of dirt or a wrinkle in it, choosing instead to send it back to the laundry. The only exception to this is obviously when fighting Thread, and even after that he would immediately change, as soon as he had the chance.
History: Keranuil was born in Southern Boll to two holders who'd been traveling there to visit his mother's family. They were from Ista originally, beastcrafters by nature, however they chose to move to Southern Boll once their son was born, so that they could be closer to family in general. He remained there his entire childhood.
It was at the age of 5 that the harpers realized that he had a knack for learning things, and by seven they realized that it wasn't quite the knack for learning as it was a knack for observing. Many in the HOld would come to him simply because he could be a prime soucre of gossip, and accurate gossip at that. Very few details went unnoticed by him, and everyone knew that.
By the age of eleven, he chose to follow in an ancestor's foot prints and returned to the glass-smith hall where he began learning how to make various glass like items. He had learned about the ancestor from the records of old, how she eventually became skilled enough that there had been many replicas of dragon eggs, her specialty. The tradition had died with her, and with Thread to be returning, or so the records said, he thought that it would be nice to bring it back. A turn after going there, he impressed to little Numa, a blue flit who would stick to him throughout his turns, but frequently disappear off to his own devices and plots. He did well at the hall, rising through the classes and learning the basics, though he was never adept at it enough to get to the level that he desired.
Keranuil remained at the hall until the age of 17, when dragons came Searching for candidates for a clutch. Knowing that he would never be able to do more than create little trinkets as a hobby, he accepted the Search token presented to him. The riders' dragons had both said that he was prime candidate material. So they took him off to the Weyr, where he began standing as a candidate.
It was there that his gift of observation became useful. He was enlisted by the harper to go around the Holds of High Reaches Weyr and bring back pertanent information whenever there wasn't a clutch on the Sands. Mostly his information just ensured that the Holders stayed true to their tithes, though it did become more valuable on the occasion.
He was about to turn to this new profession full time once he reached the age of 21, however a thin bronze-ling chose to Impress to him on his last Standing. He took the name Il'ran and his bronze was Salmalinth. Weyrlingmasters and healers alike were worried about little Salmalinth. They had never seen a dragon quite as thin as he was, and they thought perhaps there had been something wrong with his egg and he had hatched malnurished. But even after growing, he never became thicker than what he was. That worried healers more, and they eventually decided that he would never be a strong flier. Determined to prove them wrong, Salmalinth and Il'ran studied hard, though studying could really do nothing when it came to flying.
When their chance finally came to fly, the pair was one of the strongest of the groups. Both healers and the weyrlingmasters were astonished, though they were also skeptical. But the pair continued to flourish, out-growing many of their clutch-mates in size, though never mass. They graduated on time with the rest of their class and into a wing only for Thread to return.
When the wings started losing members, and the leadership decided to send a small group back in Time to learn from their ancestors, M'riel picked the young bronze rider to join them. He was a fast learner, but more importantly it was known that his observation skills would be invaluable when dealing with the riders of the past, and helping make sure they didn't reveal too much of the future. Little did they know that two of their fellow riders, one uninvited, would leave them hostage to the past by stealing their Weyr's latest gold egg. Now, Il'ran, Salmalinth, and Numa are all being forced to call Izuko their new home.

Dragon information
Name: Salmalinth
Pronunciation: Sal-muh-linth
Age: 3
Colour: Bronze
Weyrling group: High Reaches Weyr Future Timers
Wing: TBA
Birthhome: High Reaches Weyr
Dam/Sire: Unk/Unk
Personality: Salmalinth is a quiet dragon, very rarely moving from a place unless necessary. He spends all of that time thinking and contemplating about things, always wanting to learn whatever he can about whatever there is to learn. As such, he's not that talkative, however when he does speak, it's normally to depart the knowledge he's massed up to those unsuspecting. Never ask him a question unless you want to be there until the end of the day getting the answer, and thus not really remembering what the question was to begin with. When it comes to the ladies, he frequently will pick one to woo and being very sweet and kind to, working up to that dragon's flight and then moving on to the next. For the rare one he does take a permanent liking towards, who ever she may be, a protective nature kept hidden will be unleashed and very little will stop him then, if he ever gets angry.
Physical description: Salmalinth is a very large bronze, nearly as Oreath, when it comes to overall height and length, however he's lanky and thin in comparison. As a Hatchling, the healers were concerned he was too lanky to support flight, but when the time came he flew quite well and has never had any issues maintaining flight, though perhaps he could be considered as boney. He's a very dark bronze, almost black even. The uniqueness about him, however, is that every pointy part or muscle outline seems to be a slighty brighter, somewhat shiny bronze, almost as though he were a piece of oil-rubbed bronze.

Pet information
Name: Numa
Pronunciation: New-muh
Age: 12
Type: Flit
Colour: Blue
Personality: Numa is a jokester at heart. Everything for him is a game. He loves to have something and hide it, just for the fun of finding it again later on. He'll fly around in displays of daring, just because he can, and he knows doing so can lead to adventures and fun. As such, he'll frequently disappear and get into some sort of trouble somewhere before returning to his pet.
Physical description: Numa is a tiny blue flit, nearly as small as some of the greens. He's has an ice blue hide which swirls with lighter, almsot white-ish blue patterns. His tail is abnormally short, though it's always been that way and isn't the result of some prank he's pulled gone bad.
