Personality: Eodira has a very calm attitude that has been a great asset to her chosen craft. With the patience to outlast even time itself, it seems as if anger has never been and never will be a characteristic of hers. She does her job well, having had more patients survive than most Healers her age considering most of her patients were fighters, Raiders, folk destined to die in combat. Though she has lost more than half of her children and her birth family, she still has a smile for any face that doesn't smile. She has taken a very close relationship with her former queenrider daughter who, unlike herself, can read, and at times, it seems, is the only one able to bring the young woman out of her memories of her lost dragon. She is also illiterate with a photographic memory and has no desire to learn her letters anytime soon.
Physical description: Eodira hardly shows her age with thigh-length, wavy, shiny black hair that has several smaller braids, woven with silvery threads running its length. When working, her hair is often tied back by a few of those small braids. Her eyes are a very gentle robin's egg blue, always caring, always cheery despite what's going on around her. She wears a few simple pieces of jewelry, a leather necklace with a wooden bead for each of her fallen loved ones, including dragons, a simple pair of shell earrings dangle a pearly white against her hair and darkened skin. With a relatively average build for a Raider woman, she has the curves to draw the attention of others, but doesn't care for another man since her lover's death. Eodira can often be found in simple dresses of earthen colors that allow free movements since her trade requires mobility.
History: Born in The Wilds near Igen Weyr to a Raider clan, Eodira has known hardship and found a smile every time one is needed. At an early age, she took an interest in the Trade of her mother, Healing. By the time she reached her late teens, Firehead broke out in her clan causing many a soul to rest forever. Eodira survived the illness, learning the ways that it can be helped through her mother and aunt, but both were taken due to their older turns. Soon finding a new clan due to a mishap with one of their men, Eodira fell in love with the young Raider that aided her and the few with her. The rest of her life seemed to flow along well, even finding and nursing a wild feline back to health who never went back to The Wilds like she had wanted him to. Then Firehead once again struck her new "family". She lost a son to the disease and another and her love to an ill-fated raid two turns later. Another attack sent her and a very few others off to find a home again, the group finding a haven in Igen Weyr and three of her children Impressing, one gold, one green, and one brown. She couldn't have been happier and found a new area of healing in the dragons, working hard to perfect her skills in that area as well. But when Pern's sudden ailment swept through the Weyr, both her daughters' dragons fell ill and went Between. Her older daughter killed herself, unable to cope without her "other half", but her youngest daughter, the one that had lost her gold, was talked into staying on Pern. Later that turn, her son's brown became ill. She did all she could to help them and somehow, the pair survived. Once they had healed enough to fly, she suggested that what remained of their lives at Igen be transfered to Tristar, so she sent M'cleod ahead to scout out the Weyr and to come back for them once he had settled in among his kind once more.
Having been at Tristar Weyr for four turns before her son’s brown was struck by lightning during a Mating Flight The Masterhealer has grown to love her bigger "family" and with the small population of the Weyr, she's gotten to know everyone. Her dragonless daughter had Impressed again to a green dragonet and she's found it easier to drag a smile out of her which makes all the difference to Eodira. Her son had held Weyrleader for a short while before the lightning strike, but when Authanth flew next, it was her son’s brown who Won again, placing her son as Weyrleader once more.
Since then, she has watched as another of their golds went Between after the murder of her Rider by a Dragonless man. She was there to heal Dienon when her son returned with their captured Weyrwoman and the Dragonless man who was responsible for the killings. When the Quake struck, Eodira had been knocked unconscious, yet she had survived the Disaster, Leer being the first to find her. She was soon safe with the other survivors at Igen Weyr until the water supply was poisoned. It was then that her son and another brown riding Raider born man had found the vacant island that they had moved to. Eodira had moved adragonback, but her daughter had moved on the Rafts, yet everyone found their new home safely and all are sound again.
Now that Authanth has died by Tsunath’s wrath and Fraith’s defense, there lies only Josiath to take the Senior position and to hopefully lead them as well as Taenia had. With the new Riders and their queen egg, Eodira only hopes that the peace that they have finally found will continue long into the future.

He tends to growl softly in a content way when he feels at ease.
Physical description: Leer looks like Earth's lynx with tufted ear tips and tail. His paws are big and claws are always well-sharpened, though he's never used them on humans. Darker streaks of brown run along his sides and around the upper parts of his legs.
