Ok, so I'm pulling a page out of another Weyr for this flight. Or you could say I'm pulling a page out of a book. Hopefully every one is familiar with the "write your own story" books. But if not, here's how Vatanith's flight is going to go.
Once everyone has their dragons in, I'll post up Vatanith again, doing her thing. The end of that post will be a sort of mini-cliff-hanger type scenario. At that point, everyone will need to post their male dragons again, assigning each dragon an "Option". I'll explain that in a moment. After everyone has their dragons posted again and an option assigned to them, and then I'll post Vatanith again. That third post will Vatanith will be the start of round one.
So what do I mean by options?
You'll assign each dragon you're playing with option 1, option 2, or option 3, and each option with either equal your dragon continues on in the flight, your dragon suffers a catastrophic setback which forces them to drop out, or your dragon suffers a detrimental setback for which you can decide if they continue or drop out. After round 4, if your dragon suffers a detrimental setback, they can continue to chase, however they'll be too far behind to win. If at any time your dragon continues on after a detrimental setback, and you decide to pull them out at a later time because they won't be able to catch up, feel free to do so. However, up until round four begins, even detrimental setbacks will have a chance to catch back up. You won't know until I post Vatanith up at the start of the next round which option means what, and they'll be randomized each round.
We'll continue for either 5 rounds total (if there's more than 7 dragons left capable of catching after round 5 then we'll go to 7 rounds) or until 3 dragons remain who are considered still capable of catching.
When we get to our last dragons, each dragon will be given a number between 1 and 100 by their writer. The dragon with the number closest to the determined number will be the winner. If, for some reason, two dragons pick a number that's equal distance from the determined number, the dragon which is under the determined number will win.
Any questions?
