Name: Arisia
Pronunciation: AR-ee-SEE-ah
Age: 38 (Birthdate. 1326.05.02)
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Hetero
Rank: Searchrider
Birthplace: High Reaches Weyr
Family:
Mother: Darisia (Future Green Rider, 58 Turns)
Father: Mitarlin (Dragonless/Trader, 60 Turns)
Siblings etc: Mitandar (brother, Captain of the Guard, Future High Reaches Hold); Mitella (half-sister, 37 Turns), Weyrleader M'riel (half-brother, 35 Turns); Arilin (brother, Rider)
Significant others: D'gar (Future Brownrider, deceased); Narisa (daughter, 8 Turns); Adrigar (son, 6 Turns)
Personality: Arisia is a very focused and dedicated woman, but otherwise is very light-hearted and very rarely will pass up the chance to tease others (or flirt with them, depending on the situation). She is also fiercely protective of her two children; to her, they are all she has left of the loving relationship she once had with her long-deceased weyrmate. Arisia does get along well with her father and her younger siblings, but at times is a little resentful over the fact she had to be a nursemaid/mother to her younger brothers and sisters while she herself was still a child.
In spite of her abilities as a Dragonrider, Arisia seems to be prone to what some would argue as "a little clumsy". Whether it's accidentally tripping over her own two feet, inadvertently crashing into someone in the hallway, or (Faranth forbid) causing someone to spill his klah; the future Green rider is very apologetic towards said person, but later will want to kick herself for not paying closer attention. Luckily for her, she always has her father, her younger half-sister, her two children, her niece Raine, and her dragon Kell to remind her that sometimes, you just have to roll with the punches.
If asked about if she was better off under her old Weyrleader, Arisia will be quick with her tongue but will refrain from even uttering her former Weyrleader's name, as she feels it is he whom was disgraced by his actions, and not that of her brother. Arisia has nothing but high praise and the utmost of love for her younger half-brother, even though she won't be afraid to come talk to him in private when she feels he's overstepped his bounds.
Physical description: Arisia is quite average in height (roughly five-foot-six), but otherwise shares one common trait with her half-sibling M'riel: her grayish-blue eyes. Although it may seem she also shares the same auburn-colored hair as her younger half-sister Mitella, it is in fact Arisia possesses reddish-blonde hair that cascades well below her shoulders and towards the middle of her back. She also is a little thinner compared to Mitella, but her slender frame still hints at some of the same level of athleticism found in all of her younger siblings regardless of maternal lineage. Arisia likewise has a light-colored complexion; sharp, narrow eyebrows that arch over and down; her chin is a little more defined but otherwise shares the same high cheekbones, graceful nose, and defined lips that can be seen on her younger half-sister. If her left shoulder is bared, a nasty scar is visible, the result of coming in contact with Thread.
Arisia prefers wearing clothing that can be considered 'casual' and to a degree doesn't mind what color the fabric is, just as long as each piece complements the other. She also can't pass up the opportunity to dress for occasions such as Gathers or Feasts, but eschews the "come-hither" look favored by Mitella; instead Arisia prefers the more elegant, stated look.
History: Firstborn child of M'lin and Darisia, Arisia was the redfruit of her father's eye as she was his "baby girl", and therefore was very spoiled even though her brother Mitandar was born about two Turns later. Soon thereafter came Mitella, and Arisia was happy to have a little sister to play with in spite of the fact she had been borne by another woman. Arisia had a love-hate relationship with Ariella; she respected the Green Rider and had some admiration for her, but whenever Arisia was in trouble she would go running off to her "real" mother, crying and proclaiming that Ariella wasn't her mother - Darisia was. When Mitriel came along, followed by Arilin; Arisia was often asked to stay in the creche and help watch over her younger siblings instead of being allowed to play with the other girls in the Weyr. She wanted to go play with them, and would throw a temper tantrum for not having her way. M'lin and Darisia both did what they could to discipline their eldest child, reminding her that they themselves were unable to be full-time parents due to their responsibilities as Riders. Arisia wanted no part of becoming a Rider, but eventually warmed to the idea that she could become a Rider one day after seeing Mitella and Mitriel spending a lot of time near the Dragons. That goal stayed with her even though Mitriel went missing one day, and after it was found out that he had ran away, she was highly disappointed with her half-brother but hoped he would one day come home.
Arisia was officially made a Candidate at the age of nine Turns, but failed to Impress at her first Standing. She couldn't understand why none of the dragons chose her as their lifemate, and wound up having a heart-to-heart talk with her father that night when she failed to appear for the Hatching Feast. M'lin gently encouraged his "baby girl" to keep going forward, and not everyone would Impress on their first time. Some, he had said, had to wait a long time for that special dragon to come along, and perhaps hers was still to come. Arisia was left Standing at each Impression for many Turns, but refused to give up hope that her dragon would finally find her. It wasn't until the same Hatching that her younger half-sister was Impressed while sitting in the Stands when Green Kelesth came up to her, rainbow irises whirling indicating she had achieved her goal.
When Kelesth rose on her maiden Flight, it was rather unsettling for the Green Rider to be the object of so much attention by so many would-be suitors, male and female alike. But when the Green chose Brown Avith for her consort, Arisia soon developed a bond and love with a handsome Rider named D'gar. Kelesth, like most Greens, occasionally drifted from her primary mate but the majority of time chose the dilapidated-looking Brown. Eventually, Arisia and D'gar would welcome a daughter, Narisa; and two Turns later a son, Adrigar.
When Mitriel came home about four Turns later, Arisia was cold and distant at first. Her half-brother left without a single word, and now he was back and expected her to forgive him? The fact he had been with Mitandar the whole time provided some comfort, but she was equally disappointed in her full sibling. Why hadn't Mitandar said anything? Why had he lied to their father? The questions stayed with her, until one night she was able to speak to Mitriel. He wasn't going to apologize for running away from home, but understood his frustrations at what he perceived as the expectations placed upon him. Granted, their father and Ariella were indeed highly respected within the Weyr, but Mitriel's fears were unfounded. Arisia and Mitella both Impressed to Greens, Arilin to a Blue. It didn't matter to any of them about "Impressing highly"; they were just happy to have Impressed, period, and that success should only be defined by him rather than by someone else. Armed with this new insight, Mitriel vowed that he would take whatever came to him, and would do his best to define that level of success for himself. Like her siblings, Arisia was happy when their brother Impressed to Bronze Oreath; even more so when he was appointed as a Wingthird. The young woman was already impressed with the fact M'riel had a sterling record as a Guardsman at High Reaches Hold, as evidenced by the many ribbons he wore on his bandolier and his former rank; he would now add to it.
The day Thread returned to the skies of Pern was the day Arisia and Green Kelesth rued. Not only was the entire Weyr unprepared to fight it, but it seemed that *everyone* on the planet thought that they would never see the silver-gray strands fall again. Arisia and Keleseth managed to survive, even though the Greenrider took some Thread to her left shoulder. Sadly, her weyrmate D'gar and his Brown Avith didn't make it, nor did three others that were dear to her heart: Ariella had been lost, as were Noemi and Riemi. Like her sister, Arisia argued with their Weyrleader to let her accompany M'riel on his mission to the past, but A'ri considered the matter closed. Arisia also argued on behalf of her brother when it was found out the Gold egg went missing, and when it was announced that a large group of dragons would Time into the past to find M'riel, Arisia met with her sister and father in private. The three of them would go with A'ri, bringing Raine, Narisa, and Adrigar with them, but they knew they had to find M'riel first before A'ri did.

Dragon information
Name: Kelesth
Pronunciation: Kell-ESTH
Age: 21 Turns
Colour: Green (96D696)
Weyrling group:
Wing:
Birthhome: High Reaches Weyr
Dam/Sire: Isith/Banoth
Personality: Much like her clutch sibling Kaith, Kelesth doesn't realize she's much older than she acts. She complements her Rider very well, as she is very light-hearted and loves to inspire others to "roll with the punches", but otherwise Kelesth is a very focused and determined Green, eagerly taking on her tasks as Searchdragon and Threadfighting.
Physical description: Kelesth, or "Kell" as her Rider has affectionately nicknamed her, is quite petite and kittenish for a Green, but easily the size of a smaller Blue from Izuko. Her lithe form and sleek lines make up the majority of her body, but otherwise her wings are slightly oversized. This allows Kell to race at high speeds towards her target, then break away at the last possible moment to avoid any danger directed at her or her Rider. Kell is also nimble as soon as she's airborne, almost as if she is dancing in the air. She is a mint green in color, with darker shades of green on her wings, the tip of her tail, and her paws.
