Personality: Viarnie is a bit flighty. She's nice and isn't judgmental of others, but at times she seems to just daydream and not realize what's around her. Thankfully, she grew out of that habit a little bit as she got older, but still likes to day dream. She's a hard worker when she puts her mind to it and she's a great friend. She always loves being around people and making people laugh.
Surprisingly, despite her flightiness she loves to sit and embroider different designs on just about any time of clothing. Some can’t believe she has the patience to sit and do this when normally she doesn’t like to sit for more then a few seconds at a time. Physical description: Viarnie has mouse brown hair that reaches the middle of her back. She normally keeps it pulled back in a fishbone braid with her bangs framing her face. She has hazel eyes that sometimes seem to change colors with her moods. She stands at 5'5" and has a very petite build. But don't let that fool you. This girl is a hard worker and isn't afraid to get dirty.
History: Viarnie was born in Ista Hold to Vidan and Ariya. She loved her life, but always seemed to be getting into trouble or else just not paying attention to what was going on around her. Her parents tried everything they could to teach her, but nothing seemed to work. They were at their wits end when a Trader caravan came to Ista. An idea hit both of them as Viarnie happily watched what the Traders were doing.
So it was settled, during her 10th Turn Viarnie found herself being fostered to Ilnear and his wife Gilnara. Surprisingly, the girl loved the idea. She was still very flighty, but there was so much to see and do that it kept her occupied. As time went on the Traders found out that she loved to embroider beautiful colors and patterns into just about anything, so they set her to learning how to do this.
Viarnie was never shy around people and soon found herself befriending Liarna since the other girl was usually with the children and Viarnie always found it entertaining to watch the children. Viarnie loved helping out with the stalls when they stopped and soon was allowed one of her own when she was 16.
The girl loved being with the Traders and quickly forgot that her parents had basically given up on her. When she turned 21 she started to notice Yutgar one of her fellow Traders. She just couldn’t help herself. He was always kind to her and could always make her laugh and feel special. Before long, everyone knew that she was Yutgar’s lover. And she couldn’t have been happier. He never seemed to scold her when she started daydreaming and actually took an interest in her embroidery work.
When Viarnie turned 26 she and the rest of the Traders learned about Liarna’s little secret of actually liking women and not men. Viarnie was a little surprised to begin with, but she didn’t end her friendship with Liarna. She still talked with the other girl as much as she could and is now looking forward to the Gather at Ista Gather. And there would be dragons! Viarnie can’t wait for that. She’s hoping she’ll get some different ideas for her embroidery.
Viarnie was surprised to hear about the quake and volcano at the Weyr. She hopes everything will turn out alright for the Riders.
