((OOC: JP by Tae and Sorra)
Peronisth slept happily in his wallow. The bronze had eaten heavily and was now happy sleeping it off. Ry'an on the other hand couldn't sleep or even settle down. He was pacing beside his dragon's sleeping form as V'yel's words from their morning lesson rung clearly in his mind.
"Siare," he whispered.
He hadn't talked to the girl in about three weeks, but he knew he needed to. V'yel had warned them all about the dangers of sleeping with anyone right now and he was worried about Siarie. He glanced back at Peronisth to make sure he was still sleeping before slipping out to find Siarie.
Siaire was back under Sai's roof in the main Weyr complex. He'd felt it was the best way to keep an eye on her, but since her encounter with Ry'an she'd been a star of a daughter, really acting as if she was doing everything expected of her, truthfully, she'd been avoiding Ry'an as much as possible. She was home alone at present, or so she thought.
Ry'an was a bit nervous about confronting Siaire. He feared she would slap him or yell at him, but he had to talk to her. He took a couple deep breaths before approaching Siarie's weyr. He knocked on the door, hoping she was around and not Sai. He had a feeling Sai still wanted to murder him.
"What are you doing here?" she exclaimed as she saw him outside the weyr. Sai would kill him, she thought ushering him inside incase she needed to hide him.
The boy quickly followed her inside. "I had to come," he answered, knowing he couldn't stay long, Peronisth would wake up soon. "Siarie, I'm worried. Weyrlingmaster V'yel was talking to us today," he said nervously, a trait that was uncommon for him.
"Worried? Worried about what?" Curiosity got the better of her and she allowed him to continue, despite how awkward she felt around him she still classed him as a friend and would still listen to what it was he wanted.
Ry'an was pacing a bit as he tried to pick just the right words. "V'yel said weyrlings can't have relationships because out dragonets can't handle it. He also said if they discover a candidate is pregnant she can't Stand." He turned worried eyes on Siaire. Surely she wasn't. Not after just one time.
Siarie turned and looked at him, she hadn't considered that and suddenly felt very foolish. "It can't be. We only did it once," she said. She wasn't guarded with the conversation as she thought they were alone in the weyr.
The boy shook his head. Neither one had thought about that possibility. They had been caught up in the moment. "I don't know," he said, sounding miserable. He would never forgive himself if she couldn't Stand. "I hope not. I want you to be able to Stand."
"Me too," she replied. She also didn't want the trouble she would get into from Sai when it was blatant that she ignored him. "Sai or Evie might be back any moment. You should go." She didn't want him to be in trouble.
Ry'an didn't want to just leave after this conversation, but he knew she was right. "I hope all works out for you," he said, giving her a quick hug before backing away. She was still his friend. "Hopefully I'll get to see you again soon."
She smile, a heartfelt smile. "Oh..Ry'an," she added. "Congratulations on your bronze," she said in farewell as she opened the door for him to leave.
"Thank you," he said softly. "You'll have to come meet him sometime." He flashed her a quick smile before slipping out the door. He knew Peronisth would be waking up soon.
