Taenia's eyes first focused on the scene around her as she and Authanth came from between with the rest of the riders and visitors who had decided to make this first trip to the new island.. they'd followed their weyrleader there and now that they had all made it successfully she was certain that they would all be taking in the area around them...and making first judgements of this small seaside based barrier island, barely seperate from the land over the large river..

It it hadn't been from Mac's pre-warning about the barrier island they would arrive too, Taenia would not have been impressed. It was flat, with many sandy beaches and a few trees in the middle.. and apart from that, there was not all that much here.. it wasn't large, when considered, but large enough to house a number of things that they had planned to put here, such as a 'harbour' to run fishing trips from (they would have ti provide their own food on this island) and to recieve guests, and a guard station as well..
...yes, in her mind she could see this place running well enough, but it was the main hub of the island she was itching to see..where the weyrs would be, and the hatching sands that would hold the clutch developing inside Authanth currently.. the clutch that she would lay in a few weeks..
...they'd been lucky of the timing of this trip,even a few weeks later and Taenia doubted that Authanth would have been too eggh heavy.. if they didn't get a move on soon with moving, things would be difficult..
....this had changed the order, and Authanth would now be one of the first to move, to ensure that the clutch was born in the safety of Izuko, rather than Igen..

M'cleod looked around at their numerous dragons that had made the trip, his mother and sister his passengers to see their new home. "'At's the barrier island where we'll set up a entrance CotHold. It'll help us keep track of visitors, guests, an' transfers much easier," he said, pointing to the narrow island below them. "The main island where we're gonna house the Weyr's right over 'ere." Bespeaking his dark brown, he asked, Can ya' tell 'em we're flyin' to the main Weyr straight from here? It was easier that way. Those that were on this particular trip were all trusted to not leak the location to the Holders bent on destroying their kind, so it was only fair that they see the distance to the main Weyr straight. Duncanth obliged, telling each of the Wingleaders of their next maneuvers. We fly straight from here to the Main Weyr.

Josiath looked down at their new home as Shayna sighed softly. It was pretty, but it would be more changes. She hoped once they moved this time then things would get better and hopefully everyone would be able to move on and maybe forget some of the horrors they had gone through. That would be nice. Shayna glanced around for R'bao. She always felt more comfortable with him around.

Bresala's eyes widened as Heorth emerged from between. She looked over at her brother in surprise. She hadn't known what to expect with the new Weyr. She hoped things would be better now though.

Sai looked over T'res' shoulder. It looked nice enough and hopefully the girls liked it. At least they were still young and moving around wouldn't bother them too much. Well, he hoped anyhow.

Laliy, Katleya, Tr'vin, and K'ryn followed Duncath's instructions while still looking around. Even the dragons seemed to be enjoying themselves and what they saw.

Luna landed with Mili she'd climb off and looked around. She started to walk around and poking her head in everywhere. It was big enough and from what she would see the people of hold couldn't get here and start anything. Luna turned to Mili and smile.

Kolteya looked around as Tsunath hovered in their formation. That island wasn’t very big for a Weyr lodging, but M’cleod and D’verado had said that it would serve as the entrance to the Weyr. Still being an active part of the Guard, she could see where and how to set up lodgings for the Guardsmen and any of their whers. It should be big enough for that anyway. Her eyes drifted about to see the huge island next to it and she smiled as she saw an expanse of land that was divided by a river and then a chasm from their height. She couldn’t wait to move to there and to see what it held in store for them.

Swift smiled at what he saw. The small island looked perfect to him for setting up an entrance to the Weyr. He glanced toward the main island at his wingleader’s information of their next move after taking in the smaller island. He liked what he saw. There was a whole new world to explore and he would gladly take Seleti around with him. He had cooled his temper a lot in the turns they had been at Igen Weyr after the disaster that tore apart Tristar Weyr. He spoke to his passengers, “This’s the entrance island. We’ll be movin’ over the Weyr island shortly.”

Dienon nodded to Swift’s words. In his mind, he was already forming ideas of shelters and such for that little island. In looking toward the bigger island, he liked the open spaces that he saw, but he also liked seeing the mountains. Poisoning a water supply would be quite hard there. Too many streams flowed from ice caps to fill up the river he saw disappear in the distance.

L’ret looked around at his first sight of his new home, Rislockith’s great wings beating steadily to keep them in their formation. He had had a picture of the place in his mind from M’cleod and D’verado’s descriptions, but it actually looked even better to him in his own eyes. He would like this and his runner would have plenty of room to run. Pip trilled at his new home and vibrated excitedly as he held his little blue self in check next to his Pet.

D’verado glanced around, himself and his assistants that had come having tagged into the Weyrleader’s wing since no Weyrlings were able to Between yet. His green eyes took in everything again, looking for any changes to anything since he had last saw it. Satisfied that there seemed to be no differences, he turned his gaze to the bigger island and scanned it closely as well while he waited for M’cleod’s signal to move onward.

M’cleod smiled at all of the dragons in flight arrangements around them. This was what Pern needed to look like again, although with hundreds more dragons gracing the skies. Noticing an errant wingrider of his, he had Duncanth bespeak the green that strayed for a landing. He had not given that command yet at all. Only informed everyone that they would be moving over the main island shortly. Clioth, you, Yours, and your passengers need to return to the skies and back in wing formation now. Mine did not give the command to land just yet. the dark brown said firmly, taking on the slight edge that his rider felt at having a rider already being out of line.

Eodira and Macira followed their family member’s indications and both women’s minds were working quickly to visualize civilization below them. It would all come together quickly for certain. Life had bounced back at Igen Weyr after the destruction of Tristar Weyr, but here they had to begin from the ground up before the cold season since mountain tops had snow on them. That always indicated a cold season.

Tia’ar, K’lar, K’mik, I’yes, R’bao, Kikikaa, Teylbug, R’nor, Chikeri, and K’kaar looked around from their respectable places within each of their wings, taking in the new land around them, each having their own opinions, but most of them thinking about the benefits of the natural landscape before them. R’bao glanced at his Lover from his place in another wing and gave her a smile as he approved of the location already.

Mikan and Kylita looked around from the backs of the dragons they had hitched rides from, both impressed with what they saw. Mikan saw a vast land available for grazing and tilling in the distance there and Kylita saw a wonderful place to continue her Scribing and MindHealing with ease.

Cheyenth hovered over the first island that they had betweened to, both green and rider looking about the sandy island with disappointment. ((It's going to be cold here. . .)) the green noted simply as a soft breeze blew past them. ((No more warm desert sun. I wonder if there's any warm caves...)) she added. It was a disappointing thought to the green that loved to sun so. Seleti nodded simply, eyes turning away from the river and chasm before them and further down the coast, where she knew they wouldn't go for a while. They got the signal to continue on, and the green slowly moved from her spot and began flying that way, though Seleti's attention wasn't on the main weyr before them. After a few moments, the green turned her attention to the weyrleader's brown. ((Mine says she knows we're to head to the main weyr next, but she wants us to fly about the coast line instead, she and I that is, and asks if it's alright. She says there will be plenty of eyes on the new home, but wants to explore the area around it, and promises that we will not land, and if we see anything unusual we will let you and Outlath's and Seminth's and Tsunath's and Authanth's and Fraith's and Josiath's know immediately. But she says she understands if you would prefer everyone to stay together for now,)) the green ended, voice quiet as she spoke, and trying to list all the raiders' dragons as well as the important riders' dragons as well though she was certain she had missed a few, and though she too had seen the errant rider landing, and figured his attention might be on her for the moment, she still passed on the request from her rider. The only reason they asked, beyond being curious, was the fact that they also ended up having no passengers.

Fraith stayed by the other queens, though the little brown that accompanied them flitted away almost immediately, diving first into the waters of the ocean surrounding the lake before taking off to explore on his own. There were few things that got him excited enough to leave His' side, but this one was of those things where Copper would take off on his own, leaving the goldrider to rely on her gold's eyes. ((It seems very beautiful)) the pair agreed together as they looked at first what would be the welcoming island, and then the island off in the distance that would be their main home.

Katlyn and her blue also stayed with the group, looking about. ((There's ice up there Mine. . .It's going to be cold here...)) the blue complained softly. At least his big brother and ledgemate would be there for warmth and comfort. Delkth was grateful for that. ((It's going to be cold here brother. We will need somewhere warm and big enough for us to curl up together always...)) he said to Outlath in that same moment when he realized that. ((Do you think the caves are heated somehow. . .extra warm. I would like that...))

Lorina and Descanth also appeared, looking about and considering what she saw. The glasssmith candidate her only passenger, she turned her head slightly and said, "Get used to the view, I suppose. Something tells me this Island will be where you candidates stay...at least for a while until things are set up here. Maybe though they'll keep you at the main weyr too...Ever been away from Ista?" she asked then, smiling to the girl who merely shook her head. Both were rather excited to be seeing their new home.

Taenia had too noticed the temperature different of this place in comparison to the warmth of Igen's desert weyr... she'd never lived in a cold climate before and this was going to be a challenge for her.. just how cold this island would get though.. well, that was yet to be seen.

We'll land later}} Authanth informed everyone after hers' asked her to, there was no getting angry at everyone ... it hadn't been made clear before now. {{We'll check its safe and then give you freedom to do as you please..Duncanth's will make the decisions}} Authanth added, it was better to have somone who'd seen this place before make the decisions..

...Hirazeth stayed close to the quartlet of golds, trying to ensure that they were safe and protected. This was not T'jas' idea of 'safe' having all the gold riders leave the weyr at the same time.. not that the weyr was any safer than a remote island.. he thought sadly, thinking briefly of Bennu.. and her Golden Idoreth.. lost so young..
{{It is quite...scenic, mine}} The bronze commented, looking around them eager to explore at their own pace, rather than having a 'guided tour'

While they waited for Clioth's response, Duncanth relayed Cheyenth's request to his rider. Cheyenth wants to break off and explore and promises not to land anywhere, the smooth voice of Duncanth spoke to his rider. M'cleod shook his head. Tell her, not yet. This is the first sight of our new home and ev'ryone needs to stay together. We'll allow explorin' later. M'cleod thought to his dragon. While he knew Seleti's intentions were honest and true, he wasn't going to have dragons and passengers all over the island just yet, even if the dragons had no passengers. Just not yet. Duncanth passed on the message apologetically to the young green. Mine says not yet. This our first sights of our new home and he'll allow exploring later. I'm sorry, Cheyenth. Authanth's order to stay in the air only further satisfied the brown and his rider that everyone would remain safe.

Kolteya saw the errant rider, her great gold grumbling about disobedience, causing her to shake her head. Tsunath needed to take her own advice once in a while, but it was hard to get through to the demanding dragon a good portion of the time. She was glad that her sister was doing so well with her green. Tsunath mentioning Authanth's order, the rider smiled slightly. There had been nothing said about breaking away from formation before their hop Between, but common sense and Weyr etiquette coupled with Rider training usually meant that one did not stray until their Leader gave permission. Oh, well. At least things were still going smoothly even with the problems that lie back at Igen Weyr.

Cheyenth rumbled lightly but passed the reply on to her rider who gave a sigh. Well she supposed it made sense enough. The leadership couldn't exactly make an exception for one pair of the lot. So they remained with the rest of the group, hoping to get a move on and see the rest of the new island soon.

After gazing at the scenery a few moments, M'cleod gave the signal to move on and Duncanth led his Wing and the others slowly about the air above the new island home. At least the riders would get a good look at what lie ahead of them for a move...
