Personality: Shonnie is a mom’s mom. She loves having children and taking care of children. Even when they were at the Weyr, she rarely sent her children to the creche. Shonnie’s even considered stopping her craft altogether so she can focus more on her children. She is kind and gentle and a great listener. It was for her children's sake that she left Igen and returned to Keroon Hold.
Physical description: Shonnie has short, light brown hair. It’s easier to deal with children with her short hair, she’s found. She has light skin and dark blue eyes. Shonnie is rather chubby, but that’s mostly due to the fact that she’s often pregnant or nursing. She’s average height.
History: Shonnie was born to two farmers in Keroon. She decided she’d rather be a tanner than follow in her parent’s footsteps, so at the age of 12 she apprenticed to a tanner at Keroon. Zovmar apprenticed to the same tanner, who happened to be Zovmar’s mother, only a few months later. Their parents arranged the marriage, and as luck would have it they actually ended up falling in love. They were handfasted when Shonnie was 15. Shonnie was 16 when she gave birth to their first child, Zovmari. She walked the tables to Journeyman at the age of 21, and she and her family were sent to Tristar. Shovmar was born only a few months after they arrived in Tristar and Zovmie was born just a few sevenday before the Gather. They watched Kinnes at this hatching and were thrilled when they saw him Impress.
Shonnie was pregnant yet again when the disaster struck. It wasn't long after the move it Igen that she gave birth to Shonnar. When Shonnar was little more than a turn old, she decided she and the rest of her children were going to return to Keroon. The Holder attacks were just too much; she wasn't going to let her children be raised in an environment like that. Zovmar stayed behind; the Weyr still needed tanners, but she and her children left.
