Here is where you can submit a new character. After being approved, a BoD member will move your character to the Archives and you can begin role-play with that character!

Here you will find all approved characters and will be able to read up on each of them so that your character might know what they look like if they interact with them.

Sub-boards: Dragonriders, Wherhandlers, Candidates, Others, Adoptables, Between

One of the few open areas within the Weyr's walls. The ground is sandy with prickly little plants here and there that the Drudges and Candidates clean up before they overgrow the ground.

Here you might find someone walking or running from one place to another or even a dragon or firelizard playing in the sand.

Sub-board: Bowl Records

A very large cavern in the cliff walls filled with naturally warmed sand. A secondary cavern shoots off to the side of this one, half the size and just as warm.

Queens queens will come here to lay their eggs and Candidates will come to try to Impress newly hatched dragonets when the Hatching comes.

Sub-board: Hatching Records

This is a huge cavern at the top of the cliff walls that houses the furnaces where Cooks prepare meals for various occasions on top of feeding the Weyr's occupants on a regular basis. It has an entrance from the cliffside and another via the lower level of a tiered building that houses most of the Lower Caverns workers.

Izuko inhabitants eat their meals here and socialize with others.

Here you will find the Weyrlings and the Main Weyr Candidates along the canyon floor.

Another huge recess in the cliff walls, the infirmary is half the size of the Hatching Grounds and is the most constant area of activity day and night. There is a second infirmary on the Plateau that slopes downward to hide mostly underground and is large enough to accomodate a few full grown dragons.

Feeling ill? Somehow got hurt? This is where you can go or someone of higher rank could make you go. Don't worry. The Healers are very nice here!

Sub-board: Healing Records

Situated midway on the cliff's heights for access by all, the Weyr Offices are places that you can find the higher ranks if you have questions, concerns, or comments. There is a scheduled ferry duty that conveys those that do not wish to walk to the ledge nearest the Offices.

New Transfer? Rider with a problem? Drudge wishing to voice your concerns? This is where you need to go!

Sub-board: Council Records

A network of caverns that weave about the base of the cliffs, here you can find storage for all sorts of goods, the laundry area, the creche, the records area, the guestrooms, and uncharted tunnels if you were to wander far enough. There is a secondary Caverns at the top of the cliffs for the Holdings of the Plateau to get needed supplies and such, but the main bustle of the Caverns is at the lower levels where there is more room.

Here you can ask for a certain items that are not normally available to just anyone. If you are looking for non specific work, here would be the place to go.

Sub-board: Secluded Records

Atop the cliffs of the main part of the Island is a huge plateau that stretches to the sea in one direction and to a small mountain range in the other. Toward the mountains lie several grazing pens for herdbeasts and runnerbeasts alike, even some swine and a small wherry cage for those wanting an odd meat or two. Toward the sea lies many small huts and fields of well tended plants for food and medicine alike, lovingly tended by the Farmers of Izuko.

This is where dragons go to hunt their food if they cannot fly to the mainland for their meals. The Weyrlings will hunt here until their a few months before their graduation when they will be shown the hunting lands on the mainland.

Whether you are hunting for a Rider in their weyr somewhere within the chasm's cliffs or in the Bowl or a Crafter in their cottage up on the High Plateau, here is where you will find them resting or working on their various personal tasks.

Sub-boards: The Flight Weyrs, The Riders Weyrs, Weyr Denizen Quarters

Here is the original survival place for Pern's dragons when the Plague had wiped them out to a mere 12 dragons and 21 eggs. From those eggs came two breeding golds and the dragons have been slowly multiplying since throughout great hardships.

After an earthquake split the Weyr in two and a volcano wiped out everything, cloaking the Weyr in a black layer of lava rock, the emergency evacuation took them to the safety of Igen Weyr where they grew and prospered despite their losses until Holders started to rebel against the Weyr.

Sub-board: Tristar Records

Since the Plague, the other Weyrs of the Northern Continent have been mostly abandoned. Some folk can be found in some of them, but they are what remains of a sky full of dragons from the Plague 8 turns back.

Once in a while, Izuko's Riders will fly over these Weyrs for a check or to hope to retrieve items needed in their new home.

The numerous Holdings throughout the Northern Continent where folk still live and prosper without paying tithes to the Dragonriders.

Our characters may visit these places to see family or to Search for Candidates or even to barter for goods of many sorts.
