The previous death had been the last straw, the attacks from the unknown holder party had been comming more and more frequently and it was only a matter of time Taenia felt that they would need to start thinking about alterntive arrangements. The weyr had suffered for so many turns.. the dragon population was low enough already, they couldn't afford to loose any others. Not now, not after everything they'd been through..
Her and Mac had come up with a idea, to find somewhere else to retreat to, a place where they would be safe. The rest of the weyr was unaware of this at the present time, they'd kept it to themselves whilst they searched. Mac was due back with D'verado at any time, and she was waiting him eargly in their weyr, wanting to know which places they had found - if any.
Once the place had been decided on, and they'd seen it - then they would annouce it to the weyr residents and movements would start to take place.
They'd look at the possibilities of the other weyrs, but they were obvious places, and so.. she waited, pacing up and down their quaters eagerly, and somewhat nervous. Leaving the weyr was a risky business these days, and she hoped that he would return in once peice.
Young Nileod had fallen asleep on their bed, waiting for his father return and wish him good night, before being carried back to the care of his granmother for the night - unless he stayed there that night. Although Nileod was their only son, with their responsibilties as weyrleaders they'd asked Eodira to help raise him, hoping she would be able to spend more time with him, in such young years, although they stil had an active part in his upbringing, where possible...
