But he had the delicate build of his mother as well as her raven curls and milky skin. He wears his hair just over his ears in a perpetually touseled mess. His eyes are hazel, usually looking grayish with copper brown in the center. He has a youthful face with a pointing chin and a straight narrow nose. His black brows are straight and even but not too thick. In short, he'll be handsome when he grows into his height. He has an eclectic style of dress, taking some from both of his parents, so that he often wears bright colors, and enjoys hats. He also mends his own clothes, and his pants especially are often patched and usually too short. He hates to wear shoes unless absolutely necessary.
History: Celyn was the first born child to two healers. His mother grew the herbs used for medicines, while his father helped with counseling those who had survived through traumatic events. He was a surprise for them, they hadn't been together very long, but luckily, it only served to cement their relationship. He had a good childhood. His days were spent with the other Healer children in the crèche, but his parents always spent time with him in the evenings, even after they had two more children. He was always surprised and when he was older, even a little jealous, of the way his parents seemed to deeply love each other even after so many years together. He never questioned that he would also become a Healer, though neither of his parents pushed him into it, and he started his apprenticeship at the age of 11. After a few turns, he realized he'd much rather heal dragons. Though he'd been very you g during the plague that had killed most of the dragons, he didn't want anything like that to happen again.
Just after his 16th birthday, he walked the tables as a journeyman. His parents were extremely proud of him and gave him a firelizard egg that hatched into a blue that he named Spark. He expected to take his journeyman posting at another hall or hold, but he was surprised to learn that the weyr not only still existed, but they needed another dragonhealer right away. He was glad to go and do his part part to help dragonkind. He had only been at the weyr a few weeks when he was Searched but this was something considered lucky for a dragonhealer, so he was pleased, but unsurprised. Life was hard for the riders at Igen, and Celyn was happy to be moving to a new home, and determined to make the best of it, with three clutches on the way.
