Personality:
She’s got a bit of a fiery temper, and can sometimes be quick to anger. But, behind that temper is a sense of justice. Her greatest desire has always been to be a guard, just like her cousin Lasar. And, baring that, then should the riders ever reappear and exist again, wouldn’t it be grand to be amongst their ranks, not protecting just a single hold, but all of Pern? She too, is quiet and reserved though, but in the sense that she tends to keep her observations to herself. She’s more friendly than her brother, just don’t get on her badside because she might not necessarily forgive as easily as she befriends.
Physical description:
Both of the twins are very similar in appearance. They’re both about the same height, just under four and a half feet tall, with Lyam being slightly taller than his sister. The twins have golden brown hair, and deep green eyes. Being that they both look almost identical, only their hair length can distinguish the two, with Lyam’s being cut short and Alyan’s just above her shoulders. Their skin has a light tan to it.
History:
The twins were born at Nerat Hold to a large fishing craft family. Their older siblings, sisters Yamin (11) and Alylami (15) and brother Layan (17) were already out on the boats helping and learning how to fish and the mechanics of boats at the time of their birth, accompanied by many cousins. In fact, only a rare few in their family ever left Nerat or Tillek Holds to go to other crafts. It was simply in their blood to be seamen.
Because their family was always busy or working, Lyam and Alyan grew very close at a young age. There would be months when they were left in the care of an auntie or uncle while the rest of the family went out, only to return in take on their ship, the Suncatcher. As fishermen, they were prosperous, almost always coming back with a large catch. And they were deep ocean fishers too, so what they did bring back was large.
Neither Lyam nor Alyan knew much of their immediate family well, as they were always out on the boat, fishing. It was the family’s policy to wait until a child was 11 years old to bring them out on a boat or ship for the first time, though they would start learning the very basics of the craft at around ten, to include fish identification and knots. But even before they got to that age, both of the twins knew a life on the sea was not meant for them. Lyam grew attached to the hold’s harpers and eventually cut out on his fishing lessons to go learn more of the ballad’s and Pern’s history. Alyan, however, at least had somewhat of a sense of duty and remained in the lessons, which led more often than not to her complete boredom. She wanted nothing more than to join the hold’s guards and wherhandlers.
By the time they turned 11, both of the twins had been told a terrible lie. They’d become romanced by the stories of dragons and riders, but by then, Pern had turned against the riders, who few remained. Thus, they were told the entire rider and dragon population had been killed in the Plague. And as they’d never seen a rider or dragon, they believed them. This lie temporarily killed their desires to be anything but fishermen and thus they left Nerat on their first trip. It was just a short trip, around Nerat’s tip to Half Circle Sea Hold and then returning back. They never left Nerat for long, as they were still young.
Finally fall came about and the twins were set to go on their longest trip yet. The tropics had finally died down enough that the family felt they could travel from Nerat to Tillek, to see the family that was there, but also bring in a catch to a hold that was running somewhat low on the staple food. A few of the family stayed behind, to assist Nerat, but most of the family at Nerat left on the Suncatcher.
Their intention was to catch the currents east before breaking free and shoot over to the southern currents which went west. It would make the trip easy and fairly short. If weather should arise, they could easily shoot further south, even to Southern for a few days if necessary. But the eastern currents were far stronger than the group had planned on. Nor had they planned for a late tropic storm to brew up before they could turn around and catch the western currents. The storm carried them off course and towards the ring islands that no one lived on. It would die but before they could orient and catch the proper current back, another storm brewed up, far more violent than the one before.
Little luck was on the family’s side by that point. Towering waves and strong wind’s broke the Suncatcher’s masts before eventually capsizing the boat. The only thing that ensured the twins’ survival were the broke planks of the boat and the dolphins which carried them to a nearby, small island. The next day, the storm had blown over, but the twins found no other survivors. Perhaps they’d been taken to different islands, but the more than likely chance was that they’d drowned, as the pod of rescuers had been small indeed.
It is on that island where they would stay for a day, perhaps two, before finally they were rescued by a myth. . .
When they arrived at the island, the pair was told that they were Searched and would be allowed to stand, if they so chose. So they decided to stand, even if they weren't 12 turns yet. They stood at Authanth's final clutch, Alyan Impressing to Brown Narfrith (much to her brother's annoyance) and Lyam to Green Valianth.

Dragon Info:
Brown Narfrith
Weyrling Group: Royal Legal
Age: Hatchling
Dam/Sire: Authanth/Duncanth
Description: This brown looks like a autumn addition to the seasons of pern. He is a mixture of bleached brown and light browns, which some parts so light in his colouration that the colour almost looks washed out and barely there. The only dark part of the dragon is a dark brown that runs down his neck ridges, along his back and to his tail.. making it look as if he has hair..
In build, Narfrith is very scrawny, not at all like some of the rest of the clutch who appear muscled and powerful. Narfrith looks more like a runt when held in comparison with those.. although he is not a runt.
Personality: Narfrith’s temper is quite short.. he is a dragon that can easily be wound up about something.. especially by his siblings.. and rather than whining about it, one would see Narfrith snarling his own threats. His chosen is going to have his hands fall with this one. Narfrith is also a dragon that would be easily swayed and bribed by promises of power.. one would almost think that Narfrith is jealous of his higher ranking siblings.. the bronzes, who in his eyes, appear to get all the glory, but he wouldn’t tell you that.. no siree…
