[17.9.64] A trip abroad! (ALL)

The meeting had been that morning, and next came the promised first step of moving, the trip over to the Island that they can called Izuko, for suvivors. For they were survivors! Everyone last one of them!

A notice had gone up in the caverns, and word by mouth had spread that this would be going and anyone interested would need to assemble in the caverns after the mid-day meal to be given directions to this place and go along with Mac, and then moving stages would happen from there! It would be safer for everyone to be aware of where they were going to..have images in their mind, it had been made complusory for every dragonrider able to between to attend this trip, but anyone else who wanted to come along was welcome, there would be alot of people catching lifts with dragonriders, for Taenia doubted that anyone would miss this chance to see the island! She herself would not, that was for sure!

...and so, she stood there with Authanth on the star stones of yet another weyr they were due to abandon watching people starting to assemble. The one that heard all dragons would go with her and Authanth, and Authanth had passed the message across. They'd need all the help they could get to take people!

Those that missed out this time, due to creche or infirmary commitments would go once the major group returned, to ensure that everyone go a chance to see their new homes.. the only ones who wouldn't see would be the youngest weyrlings.. for it had been decided that it was unfair to leave their dragons behind. The weyrling masters were observing making sure none of the weyrlings managed to slip through.. and they themselves were going to go in two groups..

Shayna leaned against Josiath as they waited for the others to show up. The gold rider sighed softly as she rested a protective hand on her stomach. She couldn't believe she was leaving yet another Weyr. It just didn't feel right to her. Josiath crooned softly. It will be okay, the gold assured. Shayna smiled slightly. I'm just tired of moving, love. Shayna glanced around for R'bao. She wasn't looking forward to having to leave Venteran with the creche when they moved.

Bresala stayed close to B'gran as they headed down to help. The green rider was trying to look on the bright side of things. She actually smiled a little as she thought about her drunken encounter with Y'gar and then meeting K'levan again after so many Turns. "What do you think this island will look like?" she asked her brother.

Laliy, Katleya, Tr'vin, T'res, and K'ryn met up as they headed there to wait. They would help convey whoever else wanted to go. R'vis was already there with Apalath.

Hya waited for T'reyrn. She still didn't go too far from her brother. She just didn't want to chance anything happen to him. Quarth and Erosth followed along contentedly behind their riders. For once Quarth wasn't asking a million questions.

"Do you want to go see the island?" Ginillina asked Mikan. The beastcrafter didn't go too many places without Mikan. And she definitely didn't want to go to the island without him there with her.

Sai checked on Siaire, Evie, and Zelten before heading to see the island. The young man wasn't really looking forward to being on a dragon again, but he wanted to see where he was moving his family too.

Randy and Rask were staying behind to stand guard. There was no guarantee that they would even be going to the new Weyr. Randy leaned against the wall as Rask slept in the dark corner. Surprisingly Leyran was curled up with Rask sleeping. The boy would actually be quiet when he was with the wher.

Katlyn was with the group that would be going, standing next to her blue who was harnessed up to sit his maximum passenger load, all of three people. She definitly wanted to go, and Delkth was capable of carrying two others, beyond herself, so she would be more than willing to help those non-riders who wanted to go this trip get there. It was just a matter of them asking her.

Fraith landed near the other golds. Despite the fact that the gold wasn't certain they should be going yet, they were going to indeed, which meant that a little brown flight was landing on her golden head while her rider walked out to join the rest. Like other riders, she was willing to transport people over.

Seleti was near Swift, should he be going, her green Cheyenth near his much larger bronze. She could only fit one other passenger, the green being small in stature. But they were both excited to go and see this new place. Not that that excitement would stop the young rider from exploring more indepth. There was a benefit to having a fair number of former raiders as part of the weyr. They would, for lack of better description, find the things others missed.

Lorina had offered to Dienon to give him a ride there, should he desire. After all, with the things that had developed within the very few last few days at the weyr between them, it only made sense to her to do so. She didn't exactly want to leave him behind.

The former glass-smith had heard of this trip abroad, and that rides were being offered to non-riders. So, she showed up there as well, hoping to catch a ride with someone because she was more than willing to see a place beyond what she'd seen. But, what Tria didn't know, was if she would be allowed to go. Many in the weyr still didn't seem to trust her, and she didn't know if this would be one of those things were she was simply told to stay behind.

Taenia watched everyone arrive, not surprised by the large turn out of numbers, she couldn't see any large gaps there..any surprises of people who hadn't turned up who she had expected too.. Taenia wasn't going to refuse entry to the island to the newer arrivals are the weyr, there was no way from a trip between that they would ever find their weyr back there easily. It was far enough away for the place to be a secret from all of pern!

When they were certain that everyone was there who wanted to be, and the people without dragons had paired up with the riders. She had authanth speak to them all about taking directions for between from Mac, and how they would all leave at once upon his command as they would have done for any threadfall senario.

M'cleod sat quietly atop Duncanth as folk gathered in the Bowl for their first sight of their new home, pleased that no one turned up that they grew too suspicious with. He studied their newest member a long moment before his blue eyes drifted about the rest that had gathered. Once everyone had mounted up, he gave the signal to take to the skies, glancing at D'verado before Duncanth leapt to the air. Once everyone had taken wing and looked to be in their various formations, Duncanth giving every dragon the visual for their jump, the Weyrleader gave the signal for Between and the dark brown winked out of sight to lead the rest of the Weyr's dragons to their destination safely...
